Sandown Manor is ideally placed for easy access to the sandy beach at
Yaverland, which is literally 5 minutes walk away and offers safe swimming. For
guests wishing to explore the Downs, there is access just opposite our main
entrance leading to the cliff tops. From there you can take a gentle stroll to
the top of Culver Down, or walk towards Sandown via the esplanade.
Along the esplanade you will find the Isle of Wight Zoo (ITV’s Tiger Island),
Dinosaur Isle, Crazy Golf, Pitch & Putt and a Putting Green at Browns golf
course, amusement arcade, children's playground, tennis courts and bars / coffee
shops. You will then reach Sandown where there are numerous shops, bars, pubs,
restaurants and Sandown Pier with its own attractions.
For guests without a car, we are on the main bus route between Sandown, Ryde and
Newport with busses running half hourly and with a bus stop located right
outside our entrance.
